Kiwi Foo
Connecting the best and brightest New Zealanders to their contemporaries around the world.
Kiwi Foo Camp launched the Unconference format in Warkworth, New Zealand for the first time back in 2007, bringing together experts in fields from neuroscience and physics to open source programing and politics.
This annual, invite-only gathering attracts nearly 200 people from New Zealand and across the globe to share ideas, network, show off their latest tech toys and hardware hacks and find new partners for future collaborations.
Attendance at Kiwi Foo, like every Foo Camp around the world, is by invitation only and is free for attendees. This sets it apart from other Unconferences (aka ‘Bar Camps’) where attendance is open to all comers for a registration fee. The Foo movement relies on sponsorship from a small family of like-minded companies to make the event happen.
Google, Xero, Telecom, Catalyst, Silverstripe, Vodafone, Snapper, InternetNZ, and other innovative, forward thinking companies have all sponsored Kiwi Foo because they see the value of connecting their company to the global Foo network.
Kiwi Foo provides sponsors with unique access to the people driving New Zealand’s ideas economy. Based on your level of support you will have your branding on event invitations and collateral, an opportunity to address the attendees at opening or closing remarks, have a hand in attendee selections, and have a set number of invitations to use at your own discretion.
Over the course of the weekend, your team will have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with thought leaders from across the spectrum of business, technology, science, the arts, media and politics. If you’re looking to jump-start your corporate innovation programme, or you just want to test your ideas with some of New Zealand’s greatest (and most outspoken) minds, you need to be at Kiwi Foo.
Prepare your team to be challenged, to participate in every session, to leave no name tag unread and to make lasting connections with the people that are shaping New Zealand’s future. If you do this, the value your team creates at Kiwi Foo will live on for years to come.
The next Kiwi Foo will be held in March 2015. If you would like to join our prestigious list of sponsors, please contact us.
